Unlike many classic varieties, Lady of the Pink Lake has a history long before it arrives in the garden. For example, the name itself dates back to Arthurian legend, where a mysterious Lady of the Lake gives King Arthur the sword Excalibur.
Although unknown, the figure embodies wisdom, beauty and silent strength. Qualities also reflected in the beautiful rose that bears her name. What’s more, its delicate blush color and climbing habit give it an ethereal quality, making it a favorite in English-style gardens and cottage landscapes. Additionally, this variety has a grace and effortless movement that makes it a pleasure to recreate on crepe paper.
Petal by petal, we will work to reveal the soft curves and layered elegance that make this flower so unforgettable. Throughout the workshop, we will shape, assemble and refine every detail using extra fine crepe paper, floral wire and simple shaping tools. Although this is one of our most advanced projects, you won’t create it alone. We’ll be there to guide you every step of the way, along with a community that’s always ready to cheer you on.
