Get ready to unleash your creativity with a citrus twist on the classic dahlia! As part of our vibrant summer harvest collection, we’re excited to introduce our exclusive Member Make live video workshop: the All-Tangerine Crepe Paper Dahlia. Imagine a combination of blush orange, creamy peach, and lush organic greens against a backdrop of an electric summer sunset. So get ready to join us as we dive deeper into the techniques to recreate this stunning dahlia.

Mark your calendars for August 16th at 12:00pm (Pacific Time) and join us for an interactive crafting experience. Our Member Make workshops, while focused on advanced techniques, are a fantastic opportunity to learn within our community of supportive crafters. If you can’t make it to the live event, don’t worry – the video will be available for you to enjoy at your convenience.

Though they hail from the mountains of Central America, dahlias are admired around the world for their ornamental beauty. Plus, they come in a dazzling array of colors and sizes, and their symbolic meaning varies depending on the specific color. Orange, for example, symbolizes joy, celebration, and kindness. We can all always use a little more of all three, so this all-tangerine dahlia made from crepe paper is a great place to start.

Our Member Make workshop will guide you through creating this stunning flower using our signature crepe paper. The rich texture of our heavyweight crepe paper is ideal for replicating the layered petals of a dahlia, and the beautiful tangerine hue is sure to add sparkle to any space.

During the live workshop, we’ll reveal our ingenious method for constructing the dahlia’s center, which may seem daunting at first glance if you’re new to these techniques. But fear not; with our easy-to-follow instructions and expert tips, you’ll be well on your way to creating a dahlia that looks realistic enough to smell.

We can’t wait to see these gorgeous tangerine dahlias made from crepe paper on your mantel or in a striking summer bouquet. However you display them, don’t forget to share them with us! Once you’re done, upload your dreamy tangerine dahlias to our crafting community or tag us on Instagram with the hashtag #MemberMake.

Notes: This all-tangerine dahlia is a really fun flower to go with our other peach projects. The centers look intimidating, but we found a (sort of) simple way to construct them. The thick crepe paper used for the petals has the perfect texture to mimic these wild dahlias.
