Our Felt Bumble Bee is a beginner to intermediate project that introduces a handful of embroidery techniques while keeping the construction accessible. You’ll shape the bee’s soft body out of sunshine yellow felt using blanket, whip and ladder stitches before adding the delicate wing details using double stitches. A printable sewing template helps guide the wing veins, although you can do this freehand if you’re comfortable and want each bee to have its own unique character.
