These fresh strawberry recipes are the best way to celebrate strawberry season! They include delicious desserts, refreshing drinks, salads and more.
In late spring and early summer, I repeat strawberry recipes. As soon as these sweet ruby red berries appear at the farmers market, I start adding them to salads, mixing them into drinks, eating them for breakfast, and of course, making strawberry desserts. (In my opinion, no summer is complete without classic strawberry shortcake.)
Below, I’m sharing 15 fresh strawberry recipes that should be on your table this summer. They’re the ones I come back to every year: desserts like that strawberry shortcake, my favorite strawberry salad, homemade strawberry lemonade, and more. Try one or try them all to make the most of strawberry season while it lasts.
Oh, and one more idea that you don’t need a recipe for: eating freshly picked berries straight from the carton. When they are at their sweetest and juiciest, they are hard to beat!
Strawberry Dessert Recipes

Strawberry Tiramisu
This berry-heavy tiramisu is our most popular summer dessert, and for good reason. You can make it ahead of time, it doesn’t need to be baked, and it’s absolutely delicious! It stars layers of tender strawberry-soaked sponge cakes, fresh strawberries and mascarpone cream.

Chocolate covered strawberries
This 3-ingredient recipe is a simple and delicious way to turn fresh berries into a special treat. It’s great to do with kids. I love doing it with my son Ollie!

strawberry cake
Jack, Ollie and I go strawberry picking in Michigan every year. We always make this classic recipe with our loot. I love it because it lets the fresh berries shine. I just sweeten them a little before serving them with the buttery cookies and billowy whipped cream.

Strawberry Shortcake
This gluten-free and dairy-free pie has an almond-walnut flour crust and a rich coconut cream filling. Sweet and juicy strawberries take it over the top!

Strawberry crumble
This easy fruit crumble is one of my favorite ways to finish a spring or summer meal. It is best served hot straight from the oven; nothing beats the combination of hot, bubbly strawberry filling with a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream on top.
Strawberry Salads

Strawberry Salad
If you love classic Caprese salad, you’ll also love this strawberry salad. Combine traditional tomatoes, basil and fresh mozzarella with sweet, juicy strawberries, creamy avocado and toasted walnuts for crunch. A tangy balsamic reduction brings it all together.

Strawberry and Spinach Salad
I could eat this salad every day during strawberry season and not get tired of it! A perfect side for spring lunch or dinner, it’s packed with lush spinach, crunchy walnuts, creamy goat cheese, and fresh strawberries. I mix it all with my poppy seed dressing for a sweet and spicy kick.

Easy Fruit Salad
If you’re making a fruit salad for a cookout or graduation party in the next few weeks, adding ripe strawberries is a must! I love them with the honey-lime dressing in this recipe. It softens them slightly, making them extra sweet and juicy.
Strawberry Drinking Recipes

Strawberry Lemonade
Fresh strawberry puree gives this lemonade its vibrant color and bold fruity flavor. It’s 100 times better than pink lemonade from a mix! I’ll be making it for gatherings all summer long.
strawberry daisy
Move over, regular daisies! These bright pink cocktails are a fun summer take on the classic. I lean into the flavors of summer by sweetening them with basil simple syrup and garnishing them with fresh basil leaves.

Strawberry Iced Matcha Latte
I think sweet strawberries + earthy matcha are a perfect combination! I love pairing them with this refreshing iced latte for a summer pick-me-up. Made with peak season berries and good quality matcha powder, it’s way better than Starbucks!
Breakfast recipes with strawberries

Strawberry Compote
This 4-ingredient compote is one of the strawberry recipes I make most often. Bursting with fresh strawberry flavor, it’s perfect for drizzling over anything. I love it with pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, ice cream and more!

Strawberry Muffins
These whole grain muffins are one of my favorite breakfasts to make during strawberry season. They are moist, slightly sweet, warmly spiced and full of juicy strawberries. Plus, they freeze perfectly, so they’re great for meal prepping!

Overnight oats
For a delicious strawberry breakfast, make the PB&J variation of my overnight oats recipe! I fill the oatmeal with a drizzle of peanut butter, chopped peanuts, fresh strawberries, and a simple strawberry chia jam. Try it once and you can eat it every morning for the rest of strawberry season.

Strawberry and banana smoothie
Thick, sweet and icy, this 6-ingredient smoothie is an energizing spring and summer breakfast. In addition to the frozen strawberries and banana, I add Greek yogurt for protein. L&L reader KK called it: “Perfectly balanced, refreshing and delicious.”
