If you haven’t noticed, I’m super excited for fall to arrive. While we’re not even close to jacket season yet, I’m already starting my wish list and thinking about trends I want to embrace for the upcoming season. Last year, my go-to casual jacket was a puffer coat (I talked about them here and here), but this year I’m more into the barn coat. The barn coat, or field jacket, or collared utility coat, whatever you want to call it, is the perfect throw-on-and-go piece. I pair them with a relaxed pair of jeans, a cable-knit sweater, and some cool loafers.
