Since good makeup starts with great skin, it makes perfect sense to combine the two in one step whenever possible. That’s why I love the new VB Victoria Beckham brings her exclusive second-skin coverage, infused with Bader’s TFC8® technology, Trigger Factor Complex TFC. The result? Victoria Beckham says: “Imagine a concealer that you need less of the more you use it. The Concealer Pen’s ingredient technology is as powerful as skin care. “It acts as a superfood for the skin, combining skincare benefits with long-lasting, adequate consistency and coverage.”
The results
Testing of the Concealer Pen showed that after four weeks of use the skin showed visible improvement in fine lines, reduction in dark circles, less pigmentation and a decrease in puffiness.
How to apply concealer under the eyes
The best thing about using a light makeup concealer for skincare is that it is very easy to use. Here’s how to apply a pencil concealer like this for the best effect.
-
PREPARE THE SKIN
Always apply your makeup to clean, hydrated skin. Cleanse your skin and apply your regular eye cream or light moisturizer, giving it time to fully absorb before applying makeup.
-
APPLY CONCEALER
While there is some debate about the order of makeup and concealer, because it is a hybrid of makeup and skincare, it should be applied under foundation. Place a little product on the brush and dot under the eyes, starting in the darkest inner circle and working outward. It can also be placed around the edge of the nose and above the Cupid’s bow for illumination.
-
MIX
Gently blend the product into the skin, from the inside of the eye to the outside. Use your middle or ring finger to apply lighter pressure, or gently press the product into the skin to avoid overstretching this delicate skin or lifting the product from its intended spot.
